I’m Kat and I should start by telling you about myself.
I am 24, from the UK. I graduated in 2015 with a degree in History. I work, live with my partner, looking to study further and love history. Nothing in this description of me so far seems abnormal for a twenty-something graduate in the 21st Century.
I however also have a condition called Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS for short). As a result of this condition I struggle with my weight, excess hair, menstrual problems and greasy hair and skin. After my diagnosis I felt alone, isolated, scared, confused, and no amount of online searching really helped. After finding some helpful blogs, I decided I wanted to start my own to help anyone newly diagnosed or in the same position as me, diagnosed over a year ago and still figuring it all out. It’s a journey, I guess, of self discovery but also of supporting the 1 in 5 (according to NHS statistics) women who suffer with the condition.
I aim to blog about the condition, my fitness and diet regime and recipes, in order to help others who are struggling, need advice, support, guidance, motivation etc. If you have any questions, advice or tips then please don’t hesitate to use the contact me section or leave a comment on a blog.
